Cloud computing model is increasing in popularity nowadays and used in HR software in Thailand compared to computer facilities that are set up on site.

Looking at the Thailand 4.0 initiative, utilizing cloud solutions for software used in businesses will result to a higher level of global competitiveness of the country and it will also improve the current growth rate of the economy.

As of writing, the GDP growth rate of Thailand is expected to be between 3 and 3.5 per cent for 2017 and it is still trailing behind other countries that are under the Asean. Majority of these countries have an average growth rate of 4.8 per cent every year in the last 10 years.

Ahmed also said that the cloud model will give the technological advantage that is very essential in improving the economic growth o the country. This is due to requirement of the small to medium enterprise including big corporations to have the most recent software in business management in order for them to lead their competition.

The digital transformation will be executed better if cloud solutions are employed in ERP or enterprise resource planning software which includes management sector, payroll, supply chain and finance.

Aside from the ERP software, e-commerce also leans toward cloud solutions in their software along with human resource and customer relationship management or CRM.

Ahmed said that cost saving is one of the benefits of cloud model because it eliminates the need for companies to invest in expensive facilities for their IT department. Instead, they can avail of the software as a service that is cloud based.

Aside from using cloud computing in HR software in Thailand, it is also applied in various industries such as food and beverage, healthcare, hotels, tourism and automotive.
